AttPro already has and will continue to respond to requests for premium relief of any adversely impacted policyholder on a case-by-case basis after consideration of the individual risk characteristics. This targeted relief will assist those firms which are adversely impacted. Any discounts adjusted at the renewals of a given policy term for an adversely impacted policyholder will be realized for the entire policy term and not just during the months in question.

On March 27, 2020, the Colorado Department of Insurance issued Bulletin No. B-5.38 which states the following:

“The Division directs all insurance companies issuing coverage to personal and commercial policyholders to make reasonable accommodations to prevent individuals and businesses from losing coverage due to cancellation for the non-payment of premium during this unprecedented time.

Reasonable accommodations should include, but not be limited to:

  1. Extension of premium grace periods;

  2. Waiver of late payment fees;

  3. A moratorium on cancellations for non-payment;

  4. Defer any non-renewal underwriting actions; and

  5. Provide a continuation of coverage for any expiring policy.”
